Royal Engagement puts Kensington Planters
on the World Map
In December Prince Harry and Megan Markle announced their engagement and Chilstone were delighted to see it taking place in Kensington Gardens. The photographs that were beamed around the world showed Chilstone’s Kensington Planters in situe. This must now be Chilstone’s MOST photographed planter!
In 2012 a major refurbishment of the Gardens at Kensington Palace took place. Chilstone were asked to copy and replace 22 of the 16th Century Pulhamite planters that had gradually deteriorated over the century. The result is the Kensington Urn, small and versatile it has certainly now been seen the world over!
Here is a Kensington Planter in a more rural situation
in my show garden in Co Westmeath.
