Architectural Stone Work

We work closely with Chilstone to provide a bespoke architectural service for Irish architects, builders, developers, landscapers and the general public producing handmade cast stone to your specification.

If you are building a new house or adding an extension we can add value and character to your property. Cast stone is more adaptable than quarried stone and so is easier to replicate historical features or to fit with modern design style. We can work from Architects drawings or your measurements as every architectural component is made to order to fit your project.

Chilstone's Architectural estimators provide free CAD drawings and we give you a quote broken down into the different elements. Once you and your team are happy with the quote and have paid a deposit we provide full working drawings for you to sign off. Chilstone architectural stonework is a close approximation to natural Portland stone in colour and texture. There is also the option of stainless steel reinforcement for load bearing components.

THE PROCESS

The dry Chilstone mix is packed by hand into the mould
When the mould is removed the item is finished by hand, seam lines and blemishes are removed
It must then be allowed to cure for at least a week before it can be shipped
It can take 6 – 8 weeks for production and delivery of architectural items
An order is placed on receipt of a 50% deposit
The remainder is due prior to shipping
Orders come palletised directly from Chilstone to the client
