Fibreglass Pots and Planters for Indoor Bulbs
I have been looking at the fibreglass pots and planters I have in stock here and realise there are two that will look wonderful inside at Christmas. Both the Norman riveted pot with a rust finish and the small Bell Jar in a beaten copper finish will make a statement and look the part, planted up, in the house at Christmas. I am going to plant them up with the wonderfully fragrant Narcissus Paperwhite. Paperwhites take 6 weeks to come to flowering stage from a bulb so now is the time to find the bulbs, plant them up and leave in a cool place to grow. The plants can be brought into the warmth for the flowers to come out and the fragrance to fill the room.

I also like to have indoor Hyacinths coming out at Christmas, although mine usually seem to come later and so cheer up boring January! The fibreglass planters I have in stock are too big for hyacinths but there are a few in the line that are small enough. In particular the small Citrus Trough being 30cm long and 18cm high in a Terracotta finish would look great with a bold coloured blue or pink hyacinth. Small enough to go on a large table or as a pair each side of a window like an indoor window box they would be perfect. Likewise a small Adam planter in faux lead which is 30cm square and 23 cm high could have a range of coloured hyacinths.
